M-Flow Technologies develops an innovative microwave sensor in a carbon polymer composite device enabling accurate measurement of hydrocarbon/water fraction in non-homogeneous flowing systems. The M-flow sensor development adapts carbon PEEK composite technology developed by Magma Global. All of the sensor components are embedded in a monolithic PEEK structure, which is transparent to the microwave sensing technology. The sensor components can function without being exposed to damaging production fluids, and the sensor does not obstruct the fluid flow. The sensor performance of the sensor cannot be degraded by the build-up of wax etc. on the sensor, and careful design of the housing enhances sensor performance over comparable steel-based systems.
