ChromoGenics is in the process of developing an advanced electro-chromic thin-film device with a variable light transparency. The transparency can be controlled by a low voltage current.
The flexible thin-film device is less than 4/10 of a mm thick and can be used for large area glazing in buildings, vehicles and for sun visors, goggles and rear view mirrors. In comparison with competitors ChromoGenics claims that their technology is designed for significantly lower production costs and facilitates production line scale-up.
New Energy Solutions invested in the company in December 2007.
