ChromoGenics AB, Uppsala, Sweden
ChromoGenics is in the phase of commercialising a smart-windows solution based on an advanced electro-chromic thin-film with variable light transparency. They are made lighter or darker to save energy and increase comfort.
The flexible foil is less than 4/10 of a mm thick and can be used for large area glazing in buildings, vehicles and for sun visors, goggles and rear view mirrors. In comparison with competitors ChromoGenics claims that their technology is designed for significantly lower production costs and facilitates production line scale-up.
The company was incorporated in 2003, and New Energy Solutions invested in December 2007.
